Writer & Director

I’m Sajjad Shahedi Bagh Khandan, a New York-based filmmaker. Bagh Khandan, meaning “Cheerful Garden,” is an ancient Zoroastrian neighborhood in the heart of Iran surrounded by beautiful pomegranate gardens and mud-brick alleys.
I’ve been studying Cinema since I was in high school, and I aim for my movies to demonstrate the beauty and weaknesses of Persian culture to the world.
